400 Likes Celebration!

Hiya everyone – can you believe that we hit the big 4-0-0 on the Pocketful of Joules Facebook page? Yupparoni, I’m obviously a ROCK STAR now!

So I started this thing a few hundred likes ago, where I give one lucky liker a token of my appreciation for liking me. I usually pick a random winner by opening up my “likes” list on Facebook and having my husband choose anyone he wants to win. Well, I realized that my likes list doesn’t include the other pages who like my page (they’re on a separate list) and that’s kind of unfair.

I’ve also had issues with announcing to the winner that they’ve won since I can’t tag most people in a status update OR visit their page and leave a note from my page!

So, here’s what we’re going to do this time… it’s a two-step process for two, two TWO times the fun!

Step 1: Like the status on Facebook that announces this contest.
All you have to do is hit the “like” button on the status and that will let me know that you’ve actually seen it. It will also help me out by ensuring that other fans of the page see it, because Facebook is a tricky little wanker like that.

Step 2: Comment on this blog post.
Comment on this post with the words I’M A WINNER. If you want to get an extra gold star, tell me your favorite thing about Spring! When you leave your comment, WordPress asks for your email address which makes my life SO MUCH EASIER. Instead of just putting the winner’s name on my Facebook page and hoping that they see it, I’ll be able to email you directly to tell you that you’ve won! Also, it ensures that the winner actually wants to be a part of the contest and didn’t just like my page ages ago and totally forget about it.

Oh… and what’s the prize? Well, you won’t know until I send it to you! I put together a happy little goody box just for you and throw it in the mail so that you have something fun to open.

Remember when I said that there is TWO times the fun? Well, I’m celebrating my TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY of this blog in a few days and I will be giving away TWO boxes of fun!

    I’M A WINNER! My favorite thing about spring is planting flowers. I’m already choosing color schemes. Pink, purple, and yellow this year I think. Flowers make EVERYTHING better.

    I’M A WINNER! Spring is always amazing because it means my kids and I get to get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air! Cabin fever as set in and I live in Ohio so it is snowing right meow! Ugh I can’t wait for sprig or at least the sun to come back

    I’m a winner! I have a whole list of great things about spring. Listening to kids laugh and play outside and getting out of these Ugg boots and sweaters, feeling the sun on my face…I’ll stop now ! 🙂

    I’M A WINNER (and have obviously “liked” on FB). My favorite thing about spring is that it’s lighter a little bit later, and heralds the awesome “anything could happen” feeling I always get in my stomach on those warm summer nights. Best feeling ever.

    I’M A WIENER! Oops…. I meant WINNER!!!! What do I love about Spring? I love that it’s our Summer in San Francisco and I can enjoy the sunny city and sailing the bay before the fog rolls in around May. Congrats on all the ‘likes’!!!!

    I’M A WINNER. and I love spring for many reasons – my birthday is in spring, I love the smell of fresh flowers, and I love the ” fresh start” feeling that everyone gets. Not that new years resolution fresh start, but the true, let’s shake off the dust, clean out the old, and look at everything with fresh eyes. Hmm, on second thought, some of us have pollen in those eyes in spring…
